Note: The course is conducted in Arabic.
Course Objectives:
This course aims to qualify engineers and technicians to understand, design, and implement all types of electrical panels — including main panels, sub-panels, generator panels, and UPS panels — in accordance with international and local standards.
Participants will learn the principles of circuit breaker selection, load distribution, schematic drawing, and preparation of technical schedules using Excel and AutoCAD in a practical and professional manner.
Training Content:
🔹 Lecture 1:
Introduction to Electrical Panels – Types and Components
Understanding the different types of electrical panels.
Explanation of main components: Busbars, Circuit Breakers (MCB, MCCB, ACB, RCCB, MPCB), Contactors, Relays, Surge Protection Devices (SPD), Measuring Meters, and Indicator Lights.
🔹 Lecture 2:
Drawing Electrical Panel Diagrams (Single Line Diagram – SLD)
Standard symbols and terminologies used in electrical panel diagrams.
Preparation of main and sub-distribution diagrams.
Coordinating layouts on AutoCAD and linking them with load schedules.
🔹 Lecture 3:
Types of Loads and Practical Calculations
Preparing Load Schedules and Panel Schedules using Excel and AutoCAD.
Calculating current, breaker capacity, and voltage drop.
Accurate selection of Busbar size, Main & Sub Breakers, and Cable Sections.
🔹 Lecture 4:
Design of Generator and UPS Panels
Operation principle of Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) panels.
Design of Generator Synchronization Panels.
Design of UPS Panels for critical loads.
System integration between grid, generator, and UPS for reliable power continuity.
