Design of Electrical Systems Drawings

This course focuses on the design and preparation of electrical systems drawings for construction and building projects. It covers the design of power distribution, earthing and grounding systems, cables and cable trays, lightning protection, panels, conduits, manholes, and low-voltage systems. Participants will learn to produce professional and coordinated electrical layouts using AutoCAD and Excel, following international and local standards.

🔹 Lecture 1:
Introduction to Electrical Systems Drawings
Overview of electrical systems design in construction and building projects, including drawing standards, symbols, and coordination with other disciplines.

🔹 Lecture 2:
Design of Main Feeders and Infrastructure Elements
Design principles of main feeders, conduits, manholes, cable trays, and power cables according to project specifications and standards.

🔹 Lecture 3:
AutoCAD Applications – Main Feeders and Infrastructure
Preparation of detailed drawings for main feeders, conduits, manholes, and cable trays using AutoCAD.

🔹 Lecture 4:
Design and Drafting of Earthing and Lightning Protection Systems
Design calculations and preparation of AutoCAD drawings for earthing networks and lightning protection systems.

🔹 Lecture 5:
Design and Drawing of Electrical Sockets (Power Outlets)
Layout design, circuit distribution, and AutoCAD drafting of socket and small power systems.

🔹 Lecture 6:
Design and Drawing of Internal Lighting Systems
Lighting design principles, fixture selection, and preparation of lighting layouts using Excel and AutoCAD.

🔹 Lecture 7:
Load Calculations and Design of Electrical Distribution Boards
Performing load estimation, panel schedule preparation, and drawing distribution boards using Excel and AutoCAD.
